Relationshipper Book Tag

*This post contains spoilers for the series ACOTAR, TOG, and Shadow and bone trilogy*

I was supposed to write this tag so but so long ago, but hey better late than ever, right?

I was tagged by the lovely Karley from Bookish-fawn. Thank you so much, Karley! This is such a fun tag!

So without further ado, let’s get on with it. I have to say I’m a tad nervous about this, but super excited.

1) If you could date a fictional character who would it be and why?

This is so hard! But I think I’ll go with Azriel from the ACOTAR series. He’s just my favourite. I love him hahaha. And I think we could get along pretty well. Plus! He sings! and I love to sing, so see? perfect for each other.

2) If you were to go on a date with said fictional character where would you go and what would you do?

why, Velaris of course! it’s the perfect place. I’d love a night date around Velaris. Just walking around the city, by the Sidra river, have a little singing session maybe, yep. I’d definitely love that.

3) A favorite “ship”/ couple you’ve read?

Ugh! There’re so many! But one of my favs is Elorcan. Elide and Lorcan from the Throne of Glass series. They’re just so perfect together and their love story is so beautiful!

I couldn’t find the artist who made this beautiful fanart. If you know who it is please tell me in the comments <3

4) A “ship”/couple you hated?

If I don’t like the love interest in a book it’s very unlikely that I’ll continue reading. But one couple I didn’t like (not hate because I understand why they stayed together) is Alina and Mal from the Shadow and Bone trilogy. I’m sorry but I just didn’t like Mal for Alina (not that I liked her so much tbh). I won’t go deeper here but I’ll do it soon on a review post!

5) A book that had the classic Hate to Love trope?

Pretty much all the romance and fantasy books I read?? hahahaha it’s one of my favs tropes. But I’ll go with A Court of Mist and Fury, The Bridge Kingdom and Bringing Down The Duke.

6) A book that had insta love?

This is not my fav trope so it’s very hard for me to love a book with this trope. BUT one that I loved was The Seat Filler by Sariah Wilson.

7) A book with a light cutesie relationship? (to all the boys I’ve loved before and the royals)

The same book from the previous question. It’s a quite bubbly lighthearted read. Also, Edenbrooke by Julianne Donaldson.

8) A book with a relationship that made you cry?

Where do I even start? hahaha I’ll just say these three: Last Christmas in Paris by Hazel Gaynor and Heather Webb, One Day by David Nicholls, and The Fault in Our Star by John Green (don’t judge me! I was a teenager when I read it)

9) A book without romance (or with very little)?

Sunflower Sister by Martha Hall Kelly. It had NOTHING. I mean it had a little but I wouldn’t even call it romance. So, look, I have no issues if the book has no romance. BUT if you put even a little you have to make it good! don’t make it look like something bigger will happen.

10) If you could delete one “ship” from a book who would it be and why?

Azriel and Elain. It’s not an actual ship but many people consider it as such. I just … nope. I’m sorry. I just don’t like Elain AT ALL!

11) A new couple you read that you ship?

Lara and Aren from The Bridge Kingdom! I love them!

I will tag the lovely Vaishnavi from Bloggerme. But, please, feel free to do this tag if you want. It’s super fun!

I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I did writing it!

Do we have some answers in common? or Are they completely different? Tell me in the comments!

Love, Lin.
